Launched in 2026, Phonak Audéo™ EON R is the new rechargeable RIC hearing aid in the EON family, designed for mild to profound hearing loss. It combines Phonak’s latest AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0, improved wind-noise management and next-generation connectivity in a compact rechargeable design. EON R hearing aids use Phonak’s established directional and speech-enhancement technologies to provide clear, natural hearing across everyday listening situations.
AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0, at the heart of EON R, is Phonak’s latest automatic operating system. It uses machine learning to analyse the listening environment and automatically select and adapt the appropriate sound settings as your surroundings change. HearingTracker reports that AutoSense analyses the environment approximately 700 times per second, moving dynamically between listening situations such as speech in quiet, speech in noise, speech in loud noise, speech in the car, comfort in noise and music.
A major improvement for EON is WindBlock 2.0. Rather than simply suppressing all wind-related sound, the system identifies the wind direction and prioritises the microphone receiving the cleaner signal. Phonak reports reductions in microphone wind disturbance of up to 50 dB and an improvement in signal-to-noise ratio of up to 30 dB, helping conversations remain clearer while preserving a natural sense of the outdoor environment. This makes EON R particularly well suited to active users who spend time walking, cycling, running or simply enjoying the outdoors.
EON R also brings an important evolution in connectivity. Made for All connectivity lets it connect to virtually any Bluetooth®-enabled smartphone and other compatible devices, while Auracast™ Broadcast Audio opens access to shared audio in compatible public spaces such as theatres, museums, gyms, and lecture halls.
Maintenance is also easier thanks to compatibility with Phonak EasyGuard™ domes. Their sealed design helps prevent earwax from entering the receiver while allowing sound to pass through, reducing the need for routine cleaning.

Phonak Audéo™ EON R 50 – Comfort Line The Standard level brings the key EON experience to everyday listening, including AutoSense OS™ AI 8.0, universal Bluetooth® connectivity with Auracast™, WindBlock 2.0 and 16 fine-tuning channels for personalised fitting.
Phonak Audéo™ EON R 70 – Advantage Line Designed for users who frequently move between different social and acoustic environments. EON R 70 offers a broader range of advanced speech, directionality, and noise-management features, plus 20 fine-tuning channels for greater fitting precision.
Phonak Audéo™ EON R 90 – Excellence Line The premium EON R model provides Phonak’s most complete non-Sphere feature set, including its highest level of automatic environment management, speech enhancement and directional processing. It offers 20 fine-tuning channels and access to premium features such as Speech Enhancer, SpeechSensor, StereoZoom 2.0, and Dynamic Noise Cancellation, depending on Phonak’s feature configuration.
