Launched in 2026, Starkey Omega AI+ mRIC R is Starkey’s latest rechargeable micro receiver-in-canal hearing aid, combining powerful Deep Neural Network processing with a discreet design and increasingly sophisticated sound management across its three performance levels.

At the heart of Omega AI+ is an always-on Deep Neural Network (DNN) that continuously analyses complex acoustic environments. Instead of relying only on conventional noise reduction, Omega AI+ uses AI-driven speech optimisation and directional processing to help separate speech from competing sounds while maintaining access to the environment around you. Starkey’s Autumn 2026 technical documentation positions Omega AI+ across three levels — 16, 20 and 24 — with increasing processing power, directional intelligence and noise-management capabilities.

The Omega AI+ platform combines several technologies to create a more intelligent listening experience, and allows these to be automatic when setting your default program to the coveted Edge Mode, which delivers instantaneous, AI-driven adjustments on demand :

Always-on DNN processing: continuously analyses incoming sound to help optimise speech and reduce unwanted noise.

Adaptive Directionality: adjusts microphone focus dynamically according to the listening environment, operating across 56, 60 or 64 analysis channels depending on the performance level.

DNN Directionality – Omega AI+ 24: uses Deep Neural Network processing to provide the most advanced directional speech focus available in the range.

DNN Spatial Awareness – Omega AI+ 24: helps preserve spatial information so improved speech focus doesn't come at the expense of natural awareness of your surroundings.

Omega AI+ also introduces a major step forward in Sound Manager performance. The system progressively increases its ability to reduce speech noise, wind, sudden transient sounds and mechanical noise, with the premium Omega AI+ 24 providing up to 22 dB speech-in-noise reduction, 35 dB wind reduction, 15 dB transient-noise reduction and 22 dB mechanical-noise reduction.

The Starkey Omega AI+ mRIC R range is available in three performance levels:

Starkey Omega AI+ mRIC R 16 – Comfort Line The entry-level Omega AI+ model brings Starkey’s always-on DNN technology to everyday listening with 56 analysis channels, adaptive directionality and two Sound Manager levels. It provides up to 8 dB speech-in-noise reduction, 10 dB wind reduction, 6 dB transient-noise reduction and 7 dB mechanical-noise reduction.

Starkey Omega AI+ mRIC R 20 – Advantage Line Designed for users who regularly encounter more demanding listening situations, Omega AI+ 20 increases processing to 60 analysis channels, adds motion detection and provides three Sound Manager levels. Noise reduction increases to up to 10 dB for speech in noise, 19 dB for wind, 9 dB for transient sounds and 12 dB for mechanical noise.

Starkey Omega AI+ mRIC R 24 – Excellence Line The most advanced model in the range, Omega AI+ 24 provides 64 analysis channels, five Sound Manager levels, movement detection, DNN Directionality and DNN Spatial Awareness. It also offers Starkey’s highest AI speech optimisation and strongest noise-management performance for demanding environments.
